3d Connexion Mouse Compatibility

Hello all!
Does anyone know if there is any support for the 3d Connexion mouse?
I have a user who uses the 3d mouse in Autodesk Inventor and wants to be able to use it in GrabCad.
Is there a plug-in or update needed?

My 3dconnexion is two years old but it works on GrabCAD (3d viewer) without any special update.

Not sure if the model number would affect anything but its the SpaceNavigator. (most basic model)
