How do I change the extension of a CAD file from .sldprt to any of .sat/.stp/.step/.CATPart extensions?

I have a .sldprt file that needs to be imported into the Abaqus. As this file format is not supported there I wonder how I can change it to something it understands.

You must open the *.sldprt file in SolidWORKS and use the "save as" to export it to one of those formats supported by Abaqus. It may happen that your version of SolidWorks does not open this file, if it was generated in a more recent version.
