how to open a LWO file on solidworks?

i need to build a model on top of a human foot, on solidworks. in order to do that, i downloaded a foot 3D file but it won't open on solidworks. it's a lightwave file (lwo).
i don't know how to use any 3D programs other then SolidWorks...

i downloaded a trial version of LightWave but it won't let me export it into STL file ('discovery edition allows only 400 points in any layer'), and i have no idea how to use lightwave to change the file so that it could be exported..

please help me....
