Weldments in CATIA
I've recently learned how to make a welded frame in SolidWorks consisting of many steel structures of different shapes and sizes, all within a single SLDPRT file. Plus I can add the welds. Can the same type of part be defined with CATIA?

Yes this is possible, this is done using a multi-bodied CATPart in CATIA V5.
