Plastic Products and Mold Design

Created by Grabby The Bot on 12 June, 2018

At Design Engine, I teach among other things plastic part design courses specfiic to Solidworks or Creo depending upon what your team uses. https://design-engine.com/plastic-part-design-for-injection-molding-workshop/

One newer material we have used recently is Fortron. When you touch it it's cold like Aluminum, and processes much higher temperatures than polycarbonate. Fortron: polyethylene sulphide, PPS is a high-temperature semicrystalline polymer that provides high thermal stability, extremely high chemical resistance, stiffness, strength, and creep resistance.

Also added to our 40 hr course.... Compliant mechanisms
