How to model or wrap spline/sine/sweep pattern around cylinder.
Hey - I am wondering if anyone could enlighten about the best way to model a cylinder with a stent like wave pattern. I’d like to be able to control the angle of the ‘fibres’ in the pattern - allowing to create different configs’s for multiple designs. I’ve attached a picture similar to what I’m wanting to do.

I'm not sure if this is entirely what you are looking for, but I made this woven band a while back.
7 Band Interwoven Ring
With some work it would be possible to control the angle and count of the bands.
If possible, I'd suggest not making the bands "woven" as that was a bit of a pain. If the bands can simply pas through one another, it would be easier.
Check it out, if it is wrong, Maybe there are other ways.
