SOLIDWORKS Simulation - Topology Optimization

In simplest terms, a topology study uses an iterative algorithm to run a design optimization loop that generates the best possible shape based on the information you specify, such as loads, constraints, boundary conditions, and manufacturing controls. Instead of spending time creating a model, you can use the topology-optimized model as a starting point or reference, saving you time while simultaneously improving performance. You can also use topology studies to explore new ideas and varying design options, and help refine your designs by letting you know where to add material and where to take it away. Topology Optimization with SOLIDWORKS enables you to: * Create smaller, lighter-weight components * Modulate part stiffness * Design for additive or subtractive manufacturing * Automate the meshing process * Run the optimization loop in the background #Solidworks #Simulation #topology #optimization @NonCADKeys

Hello everybody... Welcome to Mech Dezignz... Today we will learn how to open blank in FTI (Forming Suite)... For this we will have to take middle surface of any part and then convert it into iges format... I have made a middle surface for the process now... So lets start by opening forming suite now... Then we will provide material properties and thickness And then select middle surface (as we have used this surface for unforming)... Then process setup for meshing details, which will be auto-filled... Then select punch direction and select auto for auto selecting punch direction... Then providing next options we can get the blank definition... Then go for nesting option and provide offset as per requirement... Thus we will get the layout of the strip formed... There are various options for one up, two up and mirror... Also we will get the strip details and utilisation... The same can be exported as shown... Thanks...

Producing SPUR GEAR on Milling Machine [INDEXING]

Hey community members, Today's tutorial is a not a designing ones, but its regarding the process of milling gear teeths. One of the most common ways of making spur gears is by using a dividing head on a milling machine. The dividing head makes it possible to cut a gear with almost any number of teeth. The whole point of using a dividing head is that it is designed for dividing a circle into an equal number of parts. When gear cutting this determines the number of teeth to be cut.
