CATIA V5 - Animated Sketch StickMan

CATIA animated sketch is a feature that allows you to create a dynamic animation of a 2D sketch. This can be useful for visualizing the motion of a mechanism or for demonstrating the changes that occur in a sketch as a parameter is varied.

  1. Step 1: CATIA - Sketch Animation tool

    To create an animated sketch in CATIA, you first need to create a sketch and fully constrain it. Once the sketch is constrained, you can select the "Animate constraint" icon in the Constrain toolbar. In the Animate constraint dialog, you need to specify the constraint that you want to animate, the start and end values for the constraint, and the number of steps in the animation.

    Using this workflow a stickman as the one presented in the video below can be rapidly defined.
