Tutorial: How to make a springy spring

I am going to make a springy spring.
The project is Springy Spring.

  1. Step 1:

    First of all draw a circle on top plane

  2. Step 2:

    Now use a helix/spiral commend and give that circle to it and give parameters in fig.

  3. Step 3:

    Now draw a line at right plane and coincident to the helix start point.

  4. Step 4:

    now use surface sweep commend to make a sweep of line which is twist along path. you can refer all parameters from fig.

  5. Step 5:

    now at top view draw a circle whose center is at corner of that surface as same as in next step

  6. Step 6:

    this circle is now looking like this now.

  7. Step 7:

    Now sweep that circle along path the edge of that surface sweep line.

  8. Step 8:

    now delete that surface which is now we have no use.

  9. Step 9:

    this is your final springy spring

  10. Step 10:

    you can render like this
