Tutorial to use emboss feature in Autodesk Inventor.

Step 1:
I'll be explaining to use this feature using a spherical model. However this can be useful in many other irregular surfaces also.

Step 2:
Create a plane offset from the original planes at a distance greater than the radius of the sphere.

Step 3:
Enter the dimension. Click OK.

Step 4:
Invoke a sketch on the newly created plane and click on "text".

Step 5:
Enter the text and format it according to your requirements. Click OK.

Step 6:
Position the text by using dimensions. Click ok.

Step 7:
Finish sketch.

Step 8:
Click on the emboss command.

Step 9:
Select the text as the profile. Click on "emboss from face",provide a depth,change the direction if required. click ok.

Step 10:
This is the result for "emboss from face"

Step 11:
Click on "engrave on face". click ok.

Step 12:
This is the result of "engrave on face"

Step 13:
Use "emboss from plane" .Provide a taper angle if required. click ok.

This is the result of "emboss from plane" . Hide the plane when finished.
