Tutorial:-How to use "SimulationXpress analysis wizard" in solidworks?

a simple way to use Simulation Xpress analysis wizard.

  1. Step 1:

    open your model then go to "Evaluate" tab and then press "SimulationXpress Analysis wizard" option.

  2. Step 2:

    the SimulationXpress analysis wizard will open then click next in it

  3. Step 3:

    you will go to next step in which you have to select the fixture.
    Fixture is a standard geometry which will not move when a force will be applied.

    click "add fixture" and then select the geometry that you want to fix.

  4. Step 4:

    after you click "OK" you will go to a tab where u can add more fixtures or edit the present fixtures.

  5. Step 5:

    next you need to define the loads.
    you get 2 options by adding force or by adding pressure on your model.

  6. Step 6:

    you get different options select the needed units then
    select the face on which the load has to act on.
    then select the direction of the load
    u can direct the load normal to other plane as shown in the pic

  7. Step 7:

    after you click "OK" you will go to a tab where u can add more loads or edit the present loads.

  8. Step 8:

    click next.
    you will have to select the materials.
    solidworks has a grt library with all materials and their materialistic values select the material you want and click next.

  9. Step 9:

    after this the simulation will run.
    and you get the displacement animation.
    if you like it then click yes.
    or to change the load or fixtures select the other option.

  10. Step 10:

    if you selected yes you would get other results.
    after that select "done viewing results".

  11. Step 11:

    you would get options to make your reports in different ways.
    select them if u want a report.

  12. Step 12:

    the html report will be like this.
