Its seems like a simple idea, just make a lego like system and be done with it. But, due to its forms and the freedom to develop new shapes, you have to interact with it in a different way and this forces you into other creative paths. The fact that this could work for anyone and in so many ways makes this design very interesting and eventually very unique.
Simple but with huge scope. The designer mentions in the comments that structures are easy to destroy, which makes it perfect for teaching some simple physics/engineering/design principles also ability to introduce new bespoke pieces could add 'levels' to gameplay.
Because its awesome! This is pretty much every boys dream vehicle so what better way to get this than on your 3D printer.
Very innovative! The Theo Janssen-inspired movement really works well with this insect toy.
Simple, elegant and very printable!
Something that is so simple and intuitive yet demands to be played with. New targets can be designed with increasing or decreasing difficulty levels and printed out. Obstacles or other additions make this a scalable game that's sure to keep the printers running.
Really creative use of the Ultimaker Bot Bot!
Good customisability for providing learning avenues, proven... chocolate canon!
Very printable game and the boxing adds some stress relief on those 'ggggrrrg' days!
Our office is divided on the feasibility of 3D printing some parts like the suspension, but we would like to try it out (with some help from the designer).
'You wouldn't download a car... Now you can.' Absolutely stunning display of creativity and engineering skills. This shows also how limited print volume can create larger objects.
For sheer ambition, this one gets some kudos.
The power of air really activates your creative mind, we would love to see what kind of creative ideas the community comes up with on this one!
